The purpose of this is to outline mistakes people make when having an affair. Suspicion from your spouse will be the downfall of your affair or casual encounter. Once they suspect you’re hiding something they will begin to look into what exactly is going on.
It could be as simple as looking at your internet history, cell phone records, or having a private investigator following you around.
The most common ways of getting caught are:
REASON #1 – YOUR COMPUTER AND IT’S HISTORY
Computers are great tool in this age, but they KEEP RECORDS OF EVERYTHING you do online. Your browser keeps history of sited visited, searches and form history.
This allows anyone who can read your history to keep tabs on your.

Using Private Browsing:
- For Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 and newer: Click on Tools, then click on In Private Browsing, click OK.
- For Google Chrome: Click on File, then click on New Incognito Window.
- For Firefox 3.5 and newer: Click on Tools, then click on Start Private Browsing, click OK.
- For Safari 2.0 and newer: Click on Menu, then click on Private Browsing, click OK.
When using private browsing the computer will keep no history of what your doing online. This will keep someone from finding searches such as, “Having an Affair.” or that visited affair sites such as Ashley Madison, No Strings Attached, or Adult Friend Finder.
REASON #2 – YOUR PHONE AND IT’S HISTORY
Your phone is your worst enemy when it comes to an affair. You’re spouse can view your call history on the phone, and you may think you clever and you clear the history, but they’ll just look at the online bill. I’ve spoke to many spouses who say when they find a suspicious number on the bill they will call it to see who picks it up.
Your cell phone is a huge risk to you when having an affair.
REASON #3 – RECEIPTS & CREDIT CARD STATEMENTS
Receipts are dangerous and Credit Card Statements are even worse. You’ll be surprised at how many peoples spouses find receipts for restaurants when their spouse said they were at work.
Similarly, credit card statements you receive at home or be viewed online will examined by your spouse.
REASON #4 – THE VISUAL & SMELL SENSES
If you come home smelling of scents your spouse is no familiar with, they will become suspicious. The smell of fresh cologne or perfume on someone is a good sign you’re attempting to cover up something. A shower and fresh set of cloths before you get home will help with, so plan ahead!
The same goes for coming home with visual marks.
Men: Watch for lipstick, white deodorant marks on your jacket, hickeys, bite marks and scratch marks.
Women: Watch for hickeys, bite marks, scratch marks, hand marks on your butt of any other ‘rough sex’ activity.
REASON #5 – THE CAR
Many people get caught having an affair because of forgotten items in a car. A pair of earrings, a forgotten cell phone, a briefcase. We’ve heard it happen a thousand times, so learn to go through your car BEFORE getting home, and you’ll be just fine.
REASON #6 – ALWAYS BE REACHABLE
If your spouse is use to you getting back to them when they call or text, definitely do that. If they find you’re unreachable they will begin to become suspicious.
REASON #7 – CHOOSE WISELY A FLING
A major important factor in having an affair go unnoticed is choosing someone who has as much to lose as you do. So think twice before you mess around with that intern at the office or that young single guy at the gym ladies.
REASON #8 – DON’T DATE YOUR FLING
This is our NUMBER ONE RULE when it comes to cheating. Don’t meet up for coffee or dinner, just DON’T DATE! This will lead to either of your spouses to become suspicious or one of you to slip up. You should only be meeting up with your fling for a casual encounter.
